ASSYLEM

Painter, designer and sculptor, ASSYLEM is a French artist from Ile-de-France, who blends nudity and pop art to explore emotions, the beauty of human anatomy and the visual codes of our time.

In 2019, as part of her high school art class, Assylem discovered her passion for art in all its forms. She immersed herself in the study of human anatomy, a fascination that deeply permeates her work. After obtaining a scientific baccalaureate, she decided to devote herself fully to art. Self-taught, she perfected her skills in her studio, experimenting with various media such as acrylic, watercolor and gouache, before falling under the spell of oils, her material of choice.

Inspired by figures such as Egon Schiele, Denis Sarazhin, Shane Wolf and Andy Warhol, ASSYLEM creates vibrant works that marry intense emotions with vivid color palettes.

In 2021, she organized her first solo show, “Body Soul”, in the Marais district of Paris, an exhibition exploring the female body and its multiple social resonances.

Today, ASSYLEM's work reflects on Generation Z, the dynamics of social relations and collective identity, blending her pop realist universe with the aesthetics of the 2000s: magazines, advertising and the visual culture of that era.

Her works, which strike a balance between tradition and modernity, capture the spirit of a generation in search of meaning in a hyper-connected world.
