Sophie Picaut is a French painter who has lived for many years in Spain (Barcelona, Cadiz). Her paintings are characterized by color, writing and geometric forms, in which poetry is used to evoke the light and shadow of human beings and the beauty of nature. Her predilection for abstract art does not erase her interest in the expression of sensitivity, which she expresses through portraits and self-portraits, accompanied by “intimate” texts. Sophie Picaut has exhibited in Spain, France and the United States.
